Tama-gotcha on TV

It is of course desperately uncool to watch your own PR, so the designers at Priestman Goode were all notably absent from the company’s TV room when a piece about them appeared on BBC Newsround.

The chaps appeared in an item about their electronic device which “babysits” the Tamagotchi virtual pet from Japan.

Unfortunately a snapper was on hand to prove that the crew, far from ignoring their 15 minutes of fame, were actually huddled outside the rental shop around the corner, anxious to check out their profiles on the small screen.

“I wondered why the studio was strangely quiet,” says boss Paul Priestman, who had been left, in his staff’s absence, to babysit the empty offices.
