Armed with branding and forced to swear allegiance

With regard to your Vox Pop on branding the armed forces (DW 28 August), the Union Jack is the globally recognised device used by both parties.

It’s hard to imagine these heritage-soaked organisations drastically changing appearances. So while their visual appearance is given some InterBrandingíѢ, could someone have a look at their respective ‘strategies’?

The Navy’s mantra is ‘Land, sea, air’. The Army simply hopes to ‘be the best’. Surely our military might deserves a less generic set of claims?

I say bring back Windsor Davies, you ‘orrible little man.
