Nissan is on the verge of appointing a brand consultancy to work on a European branding project.
Fitch is understood to be the front runner and confirmation of the appointment is expected at the end of the month. A creative pitch has already taken place and is understood to have included FutureBrand and Interbrand.
Details of the project are being kept under wraps.
A spokeswoman for Nissan UK confirms the likely appointment of a design group to work with the car manufacturer on its branding: “It is something we are looking at. As yet we have not appointed a consultancy,” she says. She declines to give further details.
