The Puffin Room gets a hole-in-one at Drumoig

The Puffin Room has created the corporate identity, exhibition display and promotional literature for Fife-based Drumoig hotel and 18-hole golf resort, which will roll out this week.

It was appointed on the basis of its previous work for the company on its Christmas menus.

The aim of the redesign is to promote the golfing aspect of the Drumoig resort, which plays home to the Scottish National Golf Centre, as well as highlight its country-style housing, hotel, restaurant and bar facilities and its location. Drumoig is located near Dundee and the St Andrews golf course.

“The existing identity [was] disjointed and [featured] contrasting colours and variations of the logo to appeal to different audiences, such as corporate guests and families,” says Puffin Room creative director Evelyn Hardie. “We aim to provide a more consistent look and feel.”

The consultancy had been briefed to create an identity with strong colours that could be used throughout the resort, including signage, courtesy cars and promotional items. It launches this week at Scotland’s Travel Fair 2001 in Glasgow.
