Directors switch roles in The Attik’s reshuffle

The managing director of The Attik’s Huddersfield office, Dave Taylor, has replaced Tim Watson as managing director of the group’s London office, after Watson “relinquished” the position.

Taylor will now be in charge of both offices, while Watson takes the role of Attik UK’s global new business development director. He remains a UK and group board member. “I decided to relinquish my position as managing director, because 99 per cent of the job is rubbish,” says Watson.

Having completed a five year plan in two years, Attik UK has revised its plans, according to Taylor, who says the focus for the London office is now predominantly based in broadcast media.

“We planned to open offices in San Francisco and Sydney which we did ahead of schedule. We also took our PR in-house, moved into broadcast and achieved our financial goals,” says Taylor. Two designers and an account handler were recently made redundant as a result of the restructuring.

“There is a massive move towards broadcast which has been driven by market demand, not by us,” explains Taylor. “We will be recruiting a senior producer in the next few weeks and three or four more people for broadcast production over the next six to 12 months.”

Co-founder James Sommerville is also returning from New York to manage some Attik projects.
