Razorfish picks a creative head from within

Razorfish has promoted Finnish senior designer Olof Schybergson, from its New York office, to be its new creative director for the UK.

Schybergson takes up the position left open by the departure of Mike Bennett (DW 9 July).

“Olof has been working with us on and off in the UK for the past year and everyone has been impressed with his professionalism,” she says.

Schybergson joins the UK team on 9 August. He is a specialist in visual and interactive design and also an expert in information architecture.

“In New York he has been leading the creative solutions for clients including Charles Schwab and worked on various internal projects such as the Razorfish Intranet, ‘mom3000’,” says a Razorfish spokeswoman.

Schybergson appears to have some clear goals. “My role is to evolve Razorfish’s creative capabilities across various platforms. Creativity and innovation will be increasingly important and will help differentiate Razorfish from the competition,” he says.

Before joining Razorfish Schybergson worked as a senior designer and developer in the digital media department of CTV Facilities in London.

Razorfish, which is part-owned by Omnicom, employs 71 people in the UK, and aims to increase this to 100 by the end of the year.
