We at Design Bridge were very pleased to see our new design for Greene King’s The Beer to Dine For appear in Design Week (DW 21 July).
However, we’d like to correct a small misunderstanding. The article stated that Design Bridge beat two other groups to the project following an unpaid pitch in September 2003.
The pitch was not unpaid, but was, in fact, a credentials pitch that required no design work to be undertaken.
As the debate continues to rage within our industry regarding the thorny issue of unpaid pitching, we’d like to clarify that Design Bridge does not take part in unpaid creative pitches and will continue to champion the necessity for payment for the intellectual property we create for our clients.
