While Tony Stone Images would love to have been completely responsible for the advertising campaign for the over-60s charity 1:4 (Diary, DW 15 November), it is sadly not the case.
The ad itself was created by McCann Erickson in Italy and Tony Stone Images was chosen by the 1:4 campaign to supply the 150 images it required. Since it is such a good cause – after all, with a bit of luck we’re all going to be 60 one day – we did so happily.
For the record, 1:4 is a Europe-wide charity, part-funded by the European Community. Its partners in the UK are Age Concern, Channel 4 and the Independent Broadcasting Trust. I’m sure that all donations are welcome!
