Gas supplier lines up logo

Dewe Rogerson Corporate Design has produced a new corporate identity for industrial gas supplier Messer. The company, whose headquarters is in Germany, is majority-owned by Hoechst, one of the world’s largest chemicals groups.

“The new identity will be a banner for all its companies across many countries,” says project director Stuart Miller.

“Research showed strong marketing value in two elements of the existing scheme – the symbol and the colour blue. These were built into the new system,” he says.

Messer wanted a contemporary, unified look which encompassed the entire group, made up of 70 associated companies operating in 29 countries.

“The drive for a corporate identity is to make money,” believes Miller. “It will suit the international market where Messer offers a global service.”
