The Lumsden Design Partnership has been getting a taste of its own medicine lately, following the discovery of spare office space behind a wall in the basement of its City Road offices in London. No need to call in Inspector Morse as there were no skeletons.
“We are now doing to ourselves what we put our clients through, and have builders in all the time,” says founder Callum Lumsden. “And,” he concedes, “it’s driving me mad.”
Well, they do say that doctors’ bedside manners improve if they spend time as patients. Could the same be true of designers?
