Imagination hit by staff lay-offs

Fifteen people, including four designers and two copywriters, face redundancy at Imagination this week. A ‘consultation period’ is currently in effect but this is not expected to reverse the cuts, which will bring the staff headcount in the UK down to 287.

The redundancies are spread across all areas of the business and do not result from the loss of any particular client, says Imagination managing director Paul MacKay.

He adds, ‘The continued market slowdown has made it impossible for us to avoid this decision.’
