Moose teeing up for the launch of its Bluegreen-designed identity

Bedford-based Bluegreen Design has created an identity for start-up mail order retailer Moose Golf Clothing, which launches its first collection in February.

The company feels it has identified a niche in the market and aims to create a clothing range that introduces a ‘feminine touch’ to a market dominated by men, says Moose Golf Clothing director Chris Jones.

‘There are mass market sports retailers and high street retailers but at the moment [women golfers] have to look very hard to find something that is stylish and appropriate,’ says Jones.

The Bluegreen-created identity will be applied across packaging, clothing labels, stationery and a company brochure. A website,, is also planned.

According to Bluegreen senior designer Jeremy Duncan, the consultancy was briefed to deliver a flexible, ‘fresh and bright’ image.

‘The branding has to be able to reproduce across [a broad range of] material so needs to be simple and bold in its execution,’ he says. ‘The challenge was to give it both a fashionable and sporting image, so women will want to wear [the clothes] in the clubhouse after a match.’

The group, which did not pitch for the business, was appointed in July.
