Manpower gets human image

People management specialist Manpower is launching the first corporate brochure in its 50-year history, as it tries to explain its work and show the people and ethics behind its organisation.

The brochure, designed by Brown Inc, will be rolled out worldwide in mid-June. It aims to convey the size and capabilities of Manpower which employs 1.5 million people in 42 offices.

It positions Manpower as a people management expert, capable of providing major people management contracts for multi-national assignments, rather than just temporary staff to cover absences.

The brochure gives Manpower a human image with a series of close-ups of people of different nationalities who represent its staff. Photography is by Stephanie Rushton, the former assistant to David Bailey. “The images are very honest. We wanted to use real people to give a warmer, more honest image,” says Brown Inc senior creative director Mark Phillips.
