What is Wolff Olins on? The ideas concerning examples for promoting British excellence are indeed strange. A Doc Marten’s boot: OK for dictatorial regimes, perhaps. Flocks of sheep – hmm, a speciality for the French market? Ladies in compromising positions – er, what?

Well no, actually. No matter how hard I rub my eyes and stare at the “sheep” poster I still see dubious images of women bent double in a Soho-style welcome. The question is, not why are they there, but what country would connect easy women with sheep?
