Paris-based consultancy Carré Noir is to tie up with two more European design groups and open a second UK office in its bid to be “everywhere”.

It will go into partnership with an unnamed consultancy in Warsaw in June and one in Stuttgart in September. These groups will take the Carré Noir name and will be bought by the Paris headquarters in two years’ time.

“We need to be everywhere that a market is developing,” says a group spokesman.

The Bristol arm will be two-strong and will focus on packaging, to complement Carré Noir’s existing corporate literature office in London.

The group, of which 75 per cent is owned by the Rothschild and Credit Lyonnais banks, is also considering having a presence in South America. A Milan office opened in January, meaning that by the end of the year the group will have nine operations.
