Body Shop profits a gift for retailer

The Body Shop has bucked the high street trend, following a comprehensive makeover.

Total retail sales growth is up by 5 per cent and the retailer is planning for a 15 to 20 per cent growth in operating profit for the current financial year, according to its preliminary results released last week.

The Body Shop is rolling out its redesigned store format across 250 outlets this year, after successfully piloting the concept (DW 8 July 2004).
