Shoe designer Jimmy Choo is breaking into the US with a retail chain designed by London group Association of Ideas.

The first shop opened this week in New York. A Beverly Hills store follows later this month, with a third outlet in Las Vegas planned for March. Six outlets in total are planned.

The interior is based around the concept of an elegant woman living in a home where Jimmy Choo shoes are an integral part of the furnishings.

“The interior is warm and inviting, very personal, but, at the same time, stylish and unique to her, the epitome of the Jimmy Choo client,” says an Association of Ideas spokeswoman.

The colour palette comprises creamy beige and aubergine, with pale blue/grey and light coffee.

The choice of furniture is influenced by Europe and particularly France, with such as the armoire, the escritoire and the ottoman.

Association of Ideas is designing Vidal Sassoon’s latest hair salon in Beverly Hills.
