Warner Bros subsidiary Warner Bros Theatres is opening two new multiplex cinemas in London at a combined cost of 15m.

The Watford and Croydon complexes will house eight cinema screens each. Interiors for Croydon are by London architect Chapman Taylor Partnership. Warner Bros’ long-term design partner Unick in Glasgow is working on Watford’s interiors.

Both interiors, scheduled to open on 19 January, are based on a prototype developed by RTKL at the Leicester multiplex which opened in June. Warner Bros

Cinemas plans to build 15 or more multiplexes in the UK over the next two years.

Bang & Olufsen founding partner Peter Bang’s granddaughter Stine Bang has designed the home-entertainment manufacturer’s latest brochure. The company celebrates 70 years in business this year and the catalogue shows the full product range of televisions, video recorders, music systems, telephones and integrated home- entertainment systems. ‘We wanted to personalise the catalogue to make products more accessible, so we used more people shots alongside the product shots,’ explains Bang.
