Beck’s album The Information is released this week, designed by Big Active, in a bid to rekindle interest in collectible album artwork. ‘It has taken a year to complete,’ says Big Active creative director Gerard Saint. ‘Not to develop the blank packaging, but to commission the artwork for the stickers so fans can personalise disks.’ Song titles and ‘ambient’ graphics are included as stickers, and 200 limited-edition posters have been designed.
According to the London-based designers, Rihanna’s eponymous book took two years to design.
