GLA appoints new director of urban design

The Greater London Authority’s Design for London architecture and urbanism unit has appointed Peter Bishop, former Camden Council director of culture and environment, as its first director. He will take up the position in January. ‘This is a broad brief, but it is my hope to address the small-scale elements of design too,’ he says.
