BAA appoints Lodge Design

The buying department of airport operator BAA has appointed Lodge Design to design presentational material for communicating new procurement policies to all its airport staff.

The consultancy won the work after pitching against six groups. A BAA spokesman declines to name the groups involved in the pitch, but the list is believed to include The Jenkins Group, Lloyd Northover Citigate, Dialogue, PSD and Metropolis 88 (DW 2 August).

The project will include designing a series of around ten manuals and guides explaining streamlined procurement processes in line with the airline operator’s standardisation initiative.

The BAA spokesman says Lodge was appointed for “its familiarity with and capability in this type of work, and also for value for money”.
