Enterprise appoints a European co-ordinator

WPP’s Enterprise Identity Group has made its first independent appointment, to co-ordinate business development in Germany, France and Eastern Europe.

Thierry Baujard, who has worked with Wolff Olins, Euro RSCG Worldwide and Zintzmeyer & Luz, will “work closely with Sampson Tyrrell Enterprise but under the group name”, says a Sampson Tyrrell Enterprise spokeswoman.

Baujard’s salary will come from the London consultancy and he will report to the group’s deputy chief executive Charles Trevail.

Baujard will be based in Cologne, Germany. “Enterprise will help German companies to manage the transition of their identities from the regional to the international stage,” he says.

The spokeswoman for Sampson Tyrrell Enterprise stresses that the consultancy will not be changing its name to Enterprise. “Sampson Tyrrell Enterprise has very little meaning in the German, French and Eastern European markets. Baujard will be promoting the Enterprise Identity Group brand,” she says.

WPP launched the group this April. It comprises Sampson Tyrrell, US groups Anspach Grossman and SBG Partners, Artistree in Hong Kong and Ogilvy & Identity in Taiwan. All the groups added Enterprise to their names at the time of the launch.
