Allied Domecq is publishing its first detailed environmental report this week, co-written and designed by C21. The report, called Environmental Performance 2000, uses soft illustrations to explain Allied Domecq’s production processes and to highlight where environmental policies come into play. Prior to the publication of the report, Allied Domecq had only published smaller documents about individual environmental initiatives, according to a C21 spokeswoman. ‘Each environmental issue is represented by a simple icon and the icons are then used throughout the report to signpost a clearly written guide to each of the problem areas spelled out in detail, and Allied Domecq’s solutions to them,’ she says.
