The Odeon Leicester Square reopened on Wednesday after a 3.5m revamp of the entire brand by Wolff Olins. The new elements include a huge glass front, the Circle Lounge, a ‘Stars’ Balcony’, the Light Café and new seating for 2000 in imitation leopard skin – a throwback to the original 1930s features. Other city centre Odeons are being refurbished and six new multiplexes are due to open this year. Wolff Olins also created the trailer film, which was produced by Ridley Scott Associates, and adverts (pictured).

The UK version of fashion brand Diesel’s on-line store, developed by Real Time Studio, launched this week. Items ordered via the service’s simple eight-step programme are delivered to customers within 36 hours, and all on-line shoppers receive a free gift. The consultancy is currently working on additional versions for other markets including the US, Finland and Switzerland to facilitate Diesel plans for a global on-line strategy. The image shown is taken from a pre-launch CD-Rom, also by Real Time.
