Glazer appoints two new creative directors

London group Glazer Design Associates is continuing its expansion with the appointment of Lewis Moberly associate director David Jones to the post of creative director.

The move is boosted by the promotion of Glazer deputy creative director Debra Jason, also to creative director. There are no plans to fill her previous position. Both posts took effect last week.

Glazer managing director Ian Glazer has previously overseen the creative side of the business and will continue in that role, alongside Jones and Jason who will each head up separate divisions.

Work will be divided between the divisions according to the client rather than the project.

Jones joins Glazer after eight months at Lewis Moberly “because this is a great opportunity”, he says. Both parties say the parting was amicable. Jones was previously at Johnson Banks.

Japanese cosmetics group Shiseido in-house designer David Hubball joins Lewis Moberly in September as senior designer, but not associate director.

The appointments at Glazer come after it boosted its staff numbers by six to 17, following an across-the-board recruitment drive to strengthen its offer (DW 19 June).

The group is currently working up initial proposals for a book on the Bluewater centre brand. The complex is due to open next year.

“The book aims to look at how the brand has been created and developed by us and the Bluewater marketing team. It is intended mainly for use internally,” says Jones.
