British Museum no-show spared

Exhibitions at the British Museum have been reprieved from the threat of cancellation, but its search for a head of design is still on hold due to the museum’s continuing cash crisis.

The exhibition let-off comes in the same week as former director of the National Gallery, Neil MacGregor, is appointed director of the museum. He joins next August.
