Lashko quits design partnership

Martin McLoughlin will continue to run graphics and branding group Lashko McLoughlin following the departure of founding partner Marita Lashko for family reasons at the end of last year.

Lashko, who is expecting her second child in March, decided to quit the 18-month-old partnership to give her more control of her time, says McLoughlin. But he has no plans to wind up the consultancy, though he is now the sole partner in the business.

“I have really enjoyed the past year and a half as a company,” he says.

Current projects include an identity and poster campaign, being carried out in collaboration with Ind Associates, with a packaging job under discussion, he says. For reasons of confidentiality neither client can be named.

Lashko was unavailable for comment on her future plans as Design Week went to press.
