Futurebrand is developing a visitors centre for the British Airways London Eye, the giant wheel on London’s South Bank.

The consultancy will also develop a range of merchandise and a graphic retail language for the site. “Our branding and design work will reflect the vision of London Eye architects David Marks and Julia Barfield,” says FutureBrand project director Gerrie Smith.

“The merchandise range will draw on the design collateral and values of the attraction. Initially sold solely at the centre, the range may be extended to further outlets at a later date,” she adds.

The centre, which will comprise 1400m2 spread across two floors, will be located in the former GLC building, which is adjacent to the wheel. It is scheduled to open within the next four weeks.
