Leeds branding specialist WPA Pinfold is launching a joint venture with London interactive group Westhill Communications this month, as the primary stage of what may become a full merger.
WPA Westhill, as the joint venture has been named, will jointly pitch for work, with the lead consultancy on any project responsible for billing. Initially joined via a working agreement, the two groups may merge formally at the start of the next financial year in April.
Westhill director Denise Turner describes the interim time as “a suck it and see period”. Westhill is aiming to increase its service to clients in the Leeds area, while WPA Pinfold is seeking a stronger presence in London.
The combined group will have a £3m turnover and will employ 40 staff. It will target clients in the financial services, retail and telecoms sectors.
