Observer design team

The Observer has appointed its first overall design editor. Graham Black has been design editor of the newspaper’s Life magazine since 1993, and previously worked for consultancy QD Design.

The newspaper has also recruited Nigel Thompson from the Daily Mail features production department to ‘work closely with Graham in implementing design changes’, according to a spokeswoman. ‘We’re looking at various changes for the paper,’ she says.
