Portland seeks new manager

Portland Design Associates is looking for a new managing director as Barry Finnegan is giving up the role to be a solo leisure consultant.

Finnegan has been at Portland since its 1987 formation and says: “I am very proud of what we have achieved.”

Portland, which is owned by City Industrial Limited and based at CIL’s Business Design Centre in North London, specialises in retail, marine and graphic design and currently employs 15 staff.

Stressing that the break was amicable and at his instigation, Finnegan adds: “Sometimes I have pursued personal enthusiasms at the expense of the expansion of the consultancy”.
