Deepend has thieves over a large barrel

Sinister ransom demands continue to be made to Deepend after one of its recently-won BIMA awards was stolen during the awards ceremony last month.

The consultancy was then issued with a virtual ransom demand on the Internet, calling for a crate of beer and some cake, in return for the award ‘in one piece’. The threat of a bullet hole was also made if the ‘authorities’ were contacted.

Deepend’s equally sharp crew developed its virtual response, saying: ‘We couldn’t get a crate, so here’s a barrel’, showing a large naked man wielding a baseball bat.

Rumours are now circulating that the hostage-takers may be part of an inside job, though nothing has been confirmed.
