Design Business Association Presentation Skills, on 13 July, aims to equip design practitioners with client-handling skills, from setting objectives to achieving the desired outcome from meetings.

EXHIBITIONS:


The Stars Shine All Day Too, from 7 to 29 July, showcases work from paper cutter Rob Ryan.

Parliament, by Helen Maynard, runs from 7 to 14 July. This photographic exhibition captures the spirit of a working European parliament, providing an insight into an enigmatic governing body.

Top Notch, organised by the Design Centre North, showcases work from product and furniture designers across the North West.


Running concurrently is Design Mart – The Best of Young British Design, which exhibits work by designers who have graduated within the past five years. Both exhibitions run from 8 July to 18 August.

Exprimenta Under the Radar, until 28 August, is a collaboration between some of Australia’s leading contemporary artists, which has transformed the gallery into an arcade of interactivity.
