In reply to your comments on the use of humour in design (DW 24 May), we at Blue Bark wholeheartedly agree. We are only a small company, but have engineered our philosophy around humour. The majority of our clients have approached us because of this way of thinking (see our brochure above). The business world is a tense and depressing place at times and it is time designers dictated more and grovelled less. If designers got to know their clients as people rather than just walking invoices, then maybe the industry as a whole would be a brighter place to work. Don’t put on a brave face when meeting clients – put on a funny one.
