Grants for innovation

Twenty UK companies have been awarded up to 50 000 each to develop an innovative concept. The grants are from the Department of Trade and Industry-backed Information Society Creativity Awards.

Paper White is to receive 23 700 to develop Virtual Showroom, a digital library of British design on a CD-ROM.

Adrian Dodds Design was awarded 12 900 for a CD-ROM to help designers and manufacturers select plastics.
