Bradford & Bingley will list itself as a bank next year, despite the recommendation of its board of directors. But resulting changes to its branding are unclear.

A spokeswoman for the building society says: “We only rebranded two or three months ago, so I don’t think there are any immediate plans to change.” But given that the group’s management intended it to remain a mutual, a realignment of its branding in light of a different service offer cannot be ruled out.

The current identity was created by the then Diefenbach Elkins Davies Baron, since renamed FutureBrand Davies Baron, in February. Its new

logotype updated the former identity featuring the pair of bowler-hatted men.
