Charity targets design groups

TS2K, the London-based careers in creativity charity, is appealing to the design industry to sign up to its “manifesto for the creative industries” to help young people develop skills and promote training and best practice.

The charity maintains there is a mismatch between current training and what industry requires. The manifesto recognises the need for training, greater cultural diversity, commercial investment to help young people, support of individuals and a centre of excellence.

Signatories to date include Channel 4, record company Chrysalis and the British Design Initiative.
