Fishburn Hedges brands North East agency

The North East Development Agency has launched its new name, logo and corporate image, created by Fishburn Hedges, in a bid to “create a strong inclusive regional identity”, according to its chief executive Mike Collier.

One NorthEast, the newly-named Newcastle-based agency, aims to improve the region’s long-term future and create a sustainable economy for the region.

It will be supported by a new identity in dark blue and bright green. The location is reflected twice through the image, with an exaggerated curve in the top right-hand corner and the physical positioning of the logo on stationery and corporate literature.

“The name and logo encapsulate the aspirations of the agency, its staff, partners and customers,” explains Collier. “We are creating a strong inclusive regional identity which has appeal to the wider community and firmly establishes us in the global market place.”

The slogan “There’s only One NorthEast” will be used on advertising and promotional material. But two straplines will be used for marketing: “The Winning Region” will used be for the UK, while international markets will see “The Development Agency for the North East of England”.
