Red Cross on the Net

The British Red Cross launched its first major website last week created by communications specialist Precedent.

British Red Cross creative services manager Stephen Elsden says the website will include a database of all the society’s offices.

It will broadcast press releases on issues such as the Kosovo crisis, promote upcoming events and provide visitors with details on how they can help the Red Cross.

‘There may be a facility for on-line donations in the future, but we want to test the water first with feedback forms and an education area for schools is also being planned,’ he says.

The site’s address is www. redcross.org.uk.
