Revolution steps up its drive into acquisitions, mergers and partnerships following the appointment of the group’s first chief executive.
Peter Barber has been brought in from Aspen Specialist Media where he filled the same role. His appointment frees up Revolution chairman Ray Taylor to expand the operation.
The chief executive’s role is “to take care of the day-to-day running of a company which has expanded rapidly and is now separating into key areas”, says Barber.
Revolution plans to develop its interiors and graphics offers to present an integrated package, he adds. It bought leisure interiors specialist Torres Design over the summer (DW 1 August).
Revolution has also brought in Stephen Byrne to head up the group’s embryonic marketing department. “We are rebuilding the marketing sector along business lines and marketing at group and business-unit level,” he says.
