Skyler London branding takes inspiration from “the intricate process of hair colouring”

The identity and interiors for the hair salon have been created by To the Point, and feature a “linear” design style based on hair colouring techniques such as highlights.

London-based consultancy To the Point has designed the branding and interiors for new hair salon Skyler London.

Based in Southside Shopping Centre in Wandsworth, London the salon has been founded by hairdresser Skyler McDonald, and specialises in hair colouring treatments.

To the Point’s identity for the salon is inspired by “the intricate process of hair colouring”, says the consultancy, and sees a linear logo that is based on how colour is applied to hair.

This concept is carried through to the salon’s interiors, with line-based iconography used as part of the wayfinding system and interior graphics.

Multicoloured

Industrial style, distressed floor numbers mirror the linear identity, and are used to guide guests to their seats.

The 418m² space also features large LED lights, vinyls, multicoloured hair model imagery and a giant, metal slide.

To the Point has been commissioned to create bespoke packaging for Skyler London’s hair colour product range.

The salon’s website has now launched, and the salon will open to the public in September 2017.
