WPA Pinfold refresh for Hook Norton Brewery

Family-run business Hook Norton Brewery has unveiled a £250 000 corporate rebrand, its first in ten years, designed by WPA Pinfold.

The visual identity is being rolled out throughout the company, with applications that include beer pump clips, bottle labels, vehicle livery, corporate literature and merchandise. Hook Norton is also replacing its traditional 500ml beer bottles with a taller, ‘slimline’ design.

WPA Pinfold was appointed a year ago without a pitch to create a crisper, more modern visual style for the Oxfordshire brewery.

The slimline beer bottles are designed to look more appealing on the dinner table. The brewer’s traditional English ale, Generation, is also refreshed and renamed as 303, commemorating the death of St George in AD 303.

‘In order to stay competitive, we are aware that as well as focusing internally, it is important to be seen to innovate externally and to support our brands,’ explains Hook Norton Brewery managing director James Clarke.
