Awards for good ideas

The Department of Trade and Industry has launched its second Information Society Creativity Awards, offering 750 000 to small creative businesses.

Applications are sought from industries such as design and multimedia with creative ideas but without the capital to turn them into market winners. An ISCA spokesman says award winners will get help to bring promising product concepts to market.

Individual awards are available for up to 50 000 and applications must be in by 20 October.
