Storm creates Nike Forum literature

Essex consultancy Storm Design has designed the support literature for the 2001 Nike Fitness Forum, a one-day event for sports instructors and personal trainers to be held on 10 February at the Business Design Centre in Islington, London.

Delegates will have the opportunity to try new Nike footwear, learn about technical fabrics used in Nike’s apparel line and attend sessions hosted by sports presenters from the UK and US.

Storm has designed the brochure, which will be mailed to delegates, a forum manual, session tickets, stationery and some point-of-sale material for the conference.

The consultancy was given an open brief to produce something innovative and fresh, says managing director Greg Buckley.

“The brochure uses abstract line illustrations to reflect the creative side of the event and arrow icons which represent the fact that it is a forum,” he says.

The brochure, in conjunction with the Forum manual and other material, will be used by sports instructors to see what’s going on, who is at the event and to book their place.

Storm has worked with Nike UK on previous occasions, including work on the Arsenal Merchandise Catalogue and on The Nike Fitness Forum 2000.

It won an unspecified pitch to secure this contract.
