London events and brand communication group Park Avenue has created the Christmas lighting display for the British Airways London Eye, launched last week.
The wheel will be lit up throughout December until 6 January during the morning rush hour and in the evening.
Park Avenue has attached lights to each of the 32 individual passenger “pods”. The colours are inspired by natural hues found in the sky such as sunsets, rainbows and clouds, according to Park Avenue managing director Hugh Carswell.
“We made a conscious decision to move away from more traditional or commercial Christmas designs,” adds Carswell, who has been promoted to managing director at Park Avenue. The creative team on the BA London Eye project is led by consultancy creative director Simon Tapping.
