Tonic website for Roundhouse

Tonic launched a website for the Roundhouse, the cultural centre in London’s Camden where the likes of The Rolling Stones made their names, last week.

The website, www.roundhouse. org.uk, provides visitors, patrons, performers and events organisers with information about events and the restoration of the venue.

Tonic has created a series of creative, educational and interactive tools designed to reflect the venue’s creative education programme and that allows visitors to experiment with creative disciplines, including music-making.

Other features include a virtual tour, an interactive timeline and a Funds Tracker that shows the progress of the Rebuild the Roundhouse fund-raising project.

‘A site that just informs is not enough to capture the imagination of young people so we’ve planned entertaining experiences for each room of the young people’s section to give them an idea of what they can do,’ says Tonic design director Simon Heys.

‘The website will demonstrate how new technologies will be an important element in our creative work,’ says Roundhouse development and marketing director Lucy Beevor.
