The Learning & Skills Council has named the architects that will masterplan higher education building projects in the UK over the next five years.

Those rubber-stamped to pitch for projects in southern England include KSS Design Group, Architects Design Partnership, Capita Architecture, Perkins Ogden Architects and Bond Bryan Partnership.

In the Midlands, WS Atkins, AD Architects, Aedas, GSS Architecture, Pick Everard and SMC Charter may pitch in tenders.

In the North, Pick Everard, Ryder HKS, Taylor Young Partnership with Giffourds, Walker Simpson and GSS and will compete for contracts with The Bond Partnership, WS Atkins and Capita.

The Learning & Skills Council manages a £371m annual budget to fund the delivery of ‘world class buildings’ within the higher education sector.
