After reading your feature on the various political parties branding as seen from the designers’ eye (DW 31 May), I thought I would have a look at the conservatives website, www.conservatives. com – because its ad agency Yellow M has a “presence” in my home town of Newcastle-upon-Tyne.
Strange then that there is no sign of the flaming torch identity. Instead, an alternative blue-andyellow “swoosh” design (very original). Could it be that a mixed message/ diluted brand idea is a deliberate reflection of the current Tory Party. A bit of politics there. Look, what you have started now.
