Bar, from 19-20 June, gathers the latest information on trends, drinks, design and bar services. The Design part of the show includes lighting, furniture and interior designers. Design Matters is a series of design-led seminars where designers, architects and bar professionals discuss design as a vital aspect of a bar’s success.

Illustrator and freelance artist Hannah Firmin shows recent prints and collages, from 11-27 June, at Impressions. Firmin has evolved a complicated process that combines various relief print methods using woodcut/ engraving, lino and vinyl cuts, worked together with collage and paint techniques.

In autumn 2000, ten artists lived and worked in Kenley Close, a condemned tower block in Sheil Park, Liverpool. Their investigations into the tower block’s history and stories from the residents influenced the work showing at Up in the Air, from 9 June until 22 July. Work on display includes paintings, photography, sculpture, text and video.
