GPRS launch from Motorola

Motorola unveiled its next raft of mobile phone products for the UK last week, including its first GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) phone the V.66, and the palmtop organiser-cum-phone, the Accompli 008.

The V.66 features voice-activated dialling, a clock and a currency converter. Both products were designed at the Motorola design centre in Milan, headed by director of consumer design Jozeph Forakis.

Motorola’s GPRS products will be on sale later this summer.
